Order Picker & Receiver
Location: Rexdale and Martin Grove
Monday to Friday, 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM
Pay $19/hr
Start Date: Immediate
JOB SUMMARY
Supporting successful warehouse operations is the responsibility of the Order Picker & Receiver, which includes picking and packing online orders accurately and on time, loading couriers and customers, unloading trailers and containers, putting away inventory, and maintaining warehouse order.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Orders: Ensure orders are picked, packaged, labelled, and staged on skids, perform quality control/accuracy checks, transfer orders to couriers, delivery partners, and customers, address orders that cannot be fulfilled.
Inventory: Arrange and place goods accurately in storage areas, assist with counting stock levels, and sort merchandise.
Customer Service: Assist customers and couriers to load their vehicles, communicate with colleagues and customers internally and externally.
Receiving: Ensure that trucks and containers are unloaded safely, product is placed in appropriate bays, purchase orders are reconciled with shipments, returns are processed, documents are filed, and damage reports are filed.
Warehouse: Organise, clean, and perform general maintenance
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Forklift licence coupled with minimum of 2 years of driving experience
- Valid walkie/pallet jack licence coupled with minimum of 2 years experience
- Ability to commit to a permanent, full-time schedule
- Ability to stand for long periods of time, perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects up to 120 pounds in a physically demanding role
- Ability to work efficiently under strict timelines, while ensuring accuracy
- Organised, detail-oriented mindset, and the ability to multitask when needed
- Effective communication and customer service skills
- Tech savvy- Ability to navigate through various apps and company email to provide appropriate communication and documentation
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Rexdale / Martin Grove reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
