The Head Chef is responsible for the culinary quality, innovation and experience of the
operation in a modern office on Aker Brygge. We are looking for a culinarian to
deliver delicious, nutritious food and exceptional service.


We serve breakfast, lunch and snacks, and deliver food and beverages for internal meetings
and office events. We follow our customer’s food program, which promotes a healthy and
balanced diet with a strong focus on variety and sustainability.


You will work with both the Kitchen team & Cafe Manager, with a special responsibility for
developing menu cycles in line with the client’s food program, along with your creativity and
passion. You will also participate in the preparation, cooking and presentation of food to the
highest standards in a clean, tidy, safe and pleasant environment. You will need to support your
kitchen to make sure it is fully compliant with Compass process, health and safety and food
hygiene regulations and run in line with Compass expectations.


The great things you will be expected to do
  • Collaborate with other culinary leaders across the client’s Food program, specifically,
your counterparts in other Nordic countries and wider EMEA region, contributing to
culinary forums and regional initiatives.
  • Participate in strategic culinary projects relevant to your business and the wider EMEA
region. Volunteering for projects that both develop your passions and drive
operational excellence.
  • Ownership of culinary administration and systems including food waste tracking and
reporting, communicating the menu, budgeting and pricing etc.
  • Embrace and deliver all aspects of the Client Food Program to an exceptional standard
  • Maintain a world-class standard of food preparation with sustainability in mind,
excellence of service, and compliance with regulations and hygiene standards.

We want you to be / have:
  • Certificate as a chef
  • Experience from a similar position will be an advantage
  • Distinctive service attitude towards the client, guests and colleagues
  • Passion for produce and origin of ingredients, and ability to share these aspects of
your work in an engaging and creative way, also in writing
  • Structured and flexible, with large work capacity
  • Innovative and creative with lots of energy
  • Quality-conscious
  • Very good knowledge of Norwegian and English, both orally and in writing

The position has a core time from 07 - 15, Monday to Friday. On special occasions working
hours can vary beyond this.
