Position Overview:

The Gym Melbourne is seeking a dynamic and organised Administrative Assistant to join our team. As an Administrative Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organised facility, coordinating staff and member events, and managing day-to-day social media campaigns. This position requires a self-motivated individual who is skilled in customer engagement, organisation, communication, and social media management.

Responsibilities:

  • Customer Engagement:
  • Greet members and visitors with a friendly and professional demeanour.
  • Provide excellent customer service in person, over the phone, and through email.
  • Address member inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and effectively.
  • Facility Maintenance:
  • Ensure the gym facility is clean, organised, and in good order at all times.
  • Collaborate with maintenance staff to report and resolve facility maintenance issues.
  • Event Coordination:
  • Organise and coordinate staff and member social events to promote a sense of community within the gym.
  • Plan event logistics, including scheduling, decorations, and catering. Social Media Management:
  • Develop and execute engaging social media campaigns across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
  • Create and curate content that promotes the gym's services, events, and member success stories.
  • Monitor social media interactions, respond to comments, and engage with members online.
  • Administrative Support:
  • Assist in maintaining accurate member records and databases.
  • Handle administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, managing incoming/outgoing mail, and maintaining office supplies.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in business administration or related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in customer service, preferably in a fitness or hospitality setting.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in using office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and basic social media management.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Positive attitude, professional appearance, and a passion for helping others achieve their fitness goals.
